New Families Information Booklet.

We had to write a Information Booklet  for new families that are going to start South Hornby School so that they know about our amazing school. We are making this booklets so they know what we do and what we learn about. This is what i rite about to put in the Information Booklet.

When new families move to Hornby we want them to come to South Hornby School because we offer lots of different and amazing things.

The year 5 and 6’s  go on School camps. We go every year in term 4 only. At School camp we play lots of games. We go hiking and we do archery.  

The whole school does kiwi Can. Kiwi Can is where Katie and Nathan teach us about all our school values. We go to kiwi Can once every cool week of school. We play lots and lot of cool and amazing fun games it is awesome.

Mr M’s Mega Morning tea is when Mr M calls over the speakers I want my fabulous people to the staff room. The teachers call out people's names and the people go to the staff room. At the staff room you drink Milo and eat Marshmallows,Melo Puffs and lots more food beginning with m. Mr M eats with you.

Last thing is South Hornby is awesome and coolest school i have ever been to ever and it offers lots of different opportunities.

Digi Award Work

My blog post is about Digi Awards and Saving Kiwis.

Save the kiwis…

For Digi Awards I did Digital Art. First we brainstormed as a class to understand what Be The Change means. I chose to Be The Change by inspiring others to save the kiwis. For Digital Art I learned how to take photos with different angles on an Ipad and had to take lots of photos. The camera angle I used is a front on shot. The hardest thing was getting the picture perfect. I made a kiwi mask to represent the kiwi in my photo. My photo shows Be The Change by picking up rubbish around the kiwi’s home.

Olympics reading

                               Today for Reading...

We had to do more Olympics work. For Olympics work for today we had to go onto a Website then chose a sport after that we had to learn about it and write the aim of the game, two rules of the game and the name of the sport. I did table tennis. Then we had to make a doc of the sport. And that is what we did for reading.

This is my many colored days in a rainbow. We used thing link. thing link is you do a pitcher then you go on thing link a you insert it and get the story sentences and put then in the dots and that is how you use thing link. And it do sentences in a different way.
